the 9th of May is Europe Day. The fact that Spain holds the presidency of the European Union attaches a special shine to this day, EUNIC as Spain, the network of European cultural institutes in Spain, is organizing a special event on May 9, 2010. La Fiesta EUNIC Spain meet different activities to illustrate the rich European culture and civilization, emphasizing its "unity in diversity." To do this we seek to bring together representatives of "The 27" in Spain. Our audience will be the residents and visitors to Madrid. Sunday May 9 EUNIC Spain Fiesta will begin at 16.00 hours in the Lavapies. There will be various cultural activities in multiple public spaces in this neighborhood, perhaps the most multicultural of Madrid: music, street theater and parades, performances or dance.
